i am officially going to northeastern in the fall. IM SO EXCITED. i submitted my deposits and i cant believe it. northeastern '12 =]

congratulations retainersarelove, we finally received our financial aid award and my son we will be attending also. He is excited as well.
Just curious -how many of the people who posted on this site are actually going to Northeastern this fall?

Maybe once they actually tell me how much aid I'm getting I might.

There's a strong possibility I'll be going to NEU.

Boston College, which I still have to hear back from, used to be my first choice b/c I didn't like NEU's modern campus, but I really hadn't ever seen many pictures of it. After looking at some of the online tours I can access now that I'm accepted, I'm starting to really like it. Add to that the co-op program and the scholarship I got, and it's starting to seem almost better than BC.

So if I get rejected from BC, I'll happily attend NEU. If I get accepted to BC...it'll be a really, really tough choice, but I'm leaning slightly towards NEU.

My D is definitely attending. Although she was accepted to all the schools she applied to, she just can't pass up the wonderful merit aid package she received from NEU.

I may be headed there. I'm just waiting to hear back from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

thanks!! my parents still didnt do their tax stuff so i bet i wont be getting any aid or any good loans for that matter, any advice on that?

Hopefully they still filled out the FAFSA and CSS with estimated numbers. That's what we did for our 3 college kids. We used the estimated numbers initially, are having our taxes done tomorrow, then will update our FAFSA/CSS with actual numbers.

Ok, definitely going. Sent in my deposits and got the sweatshirt/sweatpants/t-shirt. Cause we all know it's the clothes that make it official.

lava frog,

oh my gosh i did the same thing this weekend!! im wearing my northeastern sweatshirt right now, im so happy!

I know what you mean about the campus thing. I had always loved/wanted the idyllic, old-school, Ivy-covered campus. But I visited Northeastern last week and I was absolutely blown away by the campus. You are in a city, but there actually is an amazing campus feel to the whole thing. There's green space with well-manicured lawns and, if it weren't for the architecture, you wouldn't even know you were in a city.

And such architecture! Again, speaking as somebody who loves the classic Boston brick college campus, the buildings at Northeastern in size and appearance are breathtaking. For good measure, they do have some old buildings (I believe one was a factory or mill or something) that they converted into campus buildings so you do have some older stuff there.
