I read that only 58% of applicants for Northeastern submitted their SAT last year, as it an SAT optional school, (for international students maybe, not sure about US students). I was told once by an admissions officer at Northeastern a while back that they only encourage you to submit your SAT only if you achieve over a certain score (650 per section maybe? I can't remember). The average SAT score for the business school is 1367/1600, but if only 58% of applicants submit their SAT, would this technically be around the top 25% of all applicants if you understand what I mean? Northeastern has a higher average SAT score than Richmond or Villanova, but I wouldn't say Northeastern is a better school than those two.

Northeastern is not SAT optional - you must submit either an SAT or ACT score

SAT/ACT scores are optional only for international students. Domestic students must submit either or both.

Ok my mistake as I am an international student, but I still find it hard to believe that the average SAT score at Northeastern is 1360/1600

The average SAT score at Northeastern for the 116th incoming class is 1390/1600. The 115th incoming class 1360/1600…and so on. Look at the stats that people posted in the EA thread recently and you’ll become a believer.
