I was wondering if I had a shot getting into Northwestern University.
My unweighted GPA is a 3.6 {My Freshmen GPA was awful, This is why my Total Gpa is so messed up}
but all of my classes have been honors or AP since freshmen year
the AP classes I have taken so far:
AP Microeconomics
AP Government and Politics
AP language Composition
AP European History
AP Environmental Science
AP Phycology
4 on one test and 5's on the rest.

Here are my ECs
Founder/President of Finance club
Member of the Debate Team
Member of History Club
Model UN
Politics Club
250 Hours of community Service

Here are my test Scores
ACT:32
SAT:2150
I Plan to major in Finance if that changes anything.

Absolutely a shot :)

I know their scholarships are based upon need. So how much money would I expect from a family who makes less then 40k a year?

Plenty. It depends on number of siblings, saved money, and other factors, but I would expect to pay somewhere around 5000 a year. Which is not bad at all.

Northwestern isn’t too big on financial aid. My cousin attends there, his family makes under 40k and they’ve only got about 15k as aid. They had to take the rest out on loans. It’s awful. But I’ve also heard of students there who got full rides. So I don’t really know what’s going on there.

You definitely have a shot, so just apply and see what happens when your financial aid package arrives. But the first step is admission.

You have a shot but I wouldn’t say you are in.
GPA isn’t so hot, no outstanding EC’s, and your test score is like average for them.

I would say its a reach, but if your essays and recs are real solid I would say go for it.

I mean my freshmen GPA was 2.63 which really messed me up and it was in electives and gym which I got Ds because I didn’t go. I should of went lmaoo

Is Northwestern a Good college for Finance?
would it matter if I transfered in at a later time to save money?
I want to do something in Investments for a lving.
