@PPofEngrDr Thanks for your offer to share information on your experience. Slightly off-topic, but you might want to read up on the scandal. Many of the schools implicated were private (USC and Yale). Parents bribed influential staffers, primarily related to athletics, who lied to admissions committees about prospective students credentials. Much of the discussion in the aftermath is having admissions double check the credentials of prospects, so I think @LuvsLabs comment is relevant.
ah im so so so scared this admissions cycle hasn’t been the kindest to me. I really hope this one goes my way. All the best to everyone else I hope everything works out, even having the credentials to apply to this school is amazing so we should all be very proud of ourselves xx

@FLcubsfan @LuvsLabs my comments w.r.t. college scandal is not an endorsement of illegal methods like bribes, exam substitution etc., Just pointing out fact that private universities doesn’t have to do any of those things in order to grant an admission. So let us say athletic coach recommends some one w/o doing any illegal acts then its perfectly legal within private institute or someone is donating a big and getting a spot for someone that is perfectly legal as that is on paper, not behind the scene. We all know that is happening at top schools, whether it is right or wrong on moral grounds is a different discussion, but it is legal.
Not ready to face this NU rejection tonight… nor am I ready to face my Barnard rejection… This process is so daunting and depressing. Please lord jesus let me in one of these two schools
What are my chance? I have 1560 4.0 pretty good rec letters from a former employer and teachers. National ap scholar, 12 AP with 4.6 average score. Pretty good ec lots of volunteering.
Does anyone know if ISP decisions come out at the same time as Regular Admission Decisions?
@anuj2282 first off, congrats on some truly impressive numbers. That being said, all colleges - Northwestern included - pride themselves on their holistic admissions process. So, congrats on the scores again, but there’s truly no way that any of us could chance you based on that information.
