Northwestern Econ vs Stern

Which would be better for jobs and stuff in the business world?

Outside of NYC: Northwestern
In NYC: About even

Is this opinion or fact? i dont mind either just say which one it is

Outside of NYC: Either
In NYC: NYU

This is the kind of question that can't be answered with fact unless one wants to examine the results of every interview involving grads from these these two schools and then determine how much of the reason for those results were based on which schools the candidates went to. From my experience, I've seen a lot more Northwestern grads at the top business schools than those from NYU, but NYU students are known to be involved in a lot of internship opportunities because of the convenience of the NYC location. This advantage goes away as soon as your dealing with any place other than NYC.

If someone had the time they could pull up the avg salaries and # or % of students going to whatever companies and then compare them.

gellino: agreed...outside of NYU it depends moreso on the person...I think a degree from Stern is just as effective in the business world as an Econ one from NU. But within NYC, NYU students will have a better shot for jobs just b/c of their location. I don't know a/b grad school.

outside of NYC*

Northwestern is a better school, and your college experience will probably be better there as well. NYU does not have a real campus feel, and being right in the middle of the city can be overwhelming. NU has an awesome campus outside of Chicago.
