Hopefully, we get a decision tomorrow
I am thinking that the tab likely has nothing to with our decisions as I’m pretty sure everyone got it. Only time will tell though.
Hey guys! I just realized that the midterm report was made optional, but I already uploaded it onto my portal. The thing is I got a B last quarter, which dragged my gpa to 3.87. Since it’s optional now anyways, should I just ask them to remove it from the portal? Will not having a midterm report lower my chance? Thanks!
Chance me pls…
I srsly hate my current school and NU is my only hope rn lol
Current institution: JHU
College GPA: 3.76
Extracurricular: COO of one club, Board Member of another club (i guess this is normal or on the weaker side)
Rec: 7/10
Essay: 8/10
For some reason, my friend and I don’t have the financial aid tab… interesting, did everyone have it? And did everyone who have it qualify for aid?
I don’t qualify for aid. I have the tab and my app was complete March 23rd.
I need aid and I have the tab. Everything is completed for me. Hmmm
Also! I should do a -chance me- since I’m stressed and need to examine my life choices. And yes, I really hate my current school and need a more streamlined major program near a city (near home for mental health).
Current Institution: Stanford
College GPA: 3.695 when submitted, 3.75 current
Major GPA: 3.85 when submitted, 3.725 current
Extracurricular: nursery school teacher, former economics research assistant, video art guest lecturer, English as second language tutoring, Russian stuff, disability advocacy, Sundance trip organizer, VR program presenter, political club, 48 hour film festival participant, exhibition of several paintings, etc —> yes I know my extracurriculars are the most disjointed thing ever.
SAT: 1430 yup, the worst at my school
I think my main essay was pretty good but the individual questions… meh. I was sad I couldn’t send in my visual and video art portfolio, which I am very proud of. I know I have really good letters of recommendation. I am also hella low income and pretty terrified about financial aid.
@porouscriminal Pretty sure your chances are high because you’re coming from Stanford
anyone get anything?
Nothing for me
Nothing
They said decisions after the deadline and the application is still open today, so technically Monday onwards
nothing
@kcasssuu Did you apply for aid/qualify? I applied, I know I qualify, and I have the tab if that helps.
Lol bruh, Stanford is legit my top choice and university to attend to. I would love to trade my Northwestern acceptance for Stanford or anything for that school.
Because lets be real, me getting into Stanford? Lol, the admissions committee is gonna scoff at my application and throw it in the trash can.
Zoom University '22 baby
@mlplover69 I do not quality… and I applied to Northwestern before, rejected, do not have financial aid tab.
@kcasssuu So maybe you don’t have the tab because you don’t qualify! Definitely have hope because I feel like the tab doesn’t really mean anything.
ok so it would appear as if the FA tab does have some significance if it’s not there for everybody. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that if you have it it’s a good sign, but it seems like it’s probably not a good sign if you don’t have it…
I submitted my application on around 1/15/20.
My Financial Aid tab was there during this time. People who are saying it is indicative of an admissions decision or saying it is not a good sign are idiots.
Please ignore those people. It does not mean anything. It either means you are not qualified for aid or they are still getting this together.
Hope this helps anyone that is worrying.
