I go to a really small school in central Illinois and I will have a graduating class of around 30 students. No APs or Honors classes are offered but they do offer dual credit classes through the local community college which I plan to take. Also they do not weight GPAs since there are no AP or Honors but I have taken the hardest classes available to me every year and even opt out of PE so that I can take another class.
Dual Credits- physics, advanced bio, statistics, calculus
GPA- 3.9
SAT- unknown (have not gotten results back from PSAT)
EC- softball (varsity captain), Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cheerleading (will be a captain senior year and varsity all years) golf, yearbook, student council, scholastic bowl, youth group
Planed Major- political science
I am looking for schools to put on my list so that I can use my college visits this year but I do not know what schools I should apply to. I am really interested in Northwestern or GW but I’m worried by GPA and course rigor is not good enough since I have not taken AP or honors classes. Would taking courses over the summer at a local community college help? (I am a junior by the way)
