You will be an adult so time to start thinking like one. I would tell you that most kids don’t think about ranking. Most kids end up at a local state school, flagship, or community college without any concern for rank. Few go to elite schools. You are one of a tiny percentage.
You mean suburban high schools are a tiny percentage; and some urban schoos.
We live in the East Coast.
Also, I spent much of my life in the UK and found very similar or identical reasoning there.
This credibility issue is precisely why account sharing is prohibited.

Columbia and Northwestern are peers for journalism and Columbia is more esteemed overall. However, because you said you prefer a less urban campus experience, go for NWestetn. Both are great for grad school.
I went to Columbia for grad school and thoroughly enjoyed it.
