Northwestern or Columbia

You will be an adult so time to start thinking like one. I would tell you that most kids don’t think about ranking. Most kids end up at a local state school, flagship, or community college without any concern for rank. Few go to elite schools. You are one of a tiny percentage.

Columbia and Northwestern are peers for journalism and Columbia is more esteemed overall. However, because you said you prefer a less urban campus experience, go for NWestetn. Both are great for grad school.

I went to Columbia for grad school and thoroughly enjoyed it.
