Northwestern Or Imperial College London

Hi,

I am torn between the two. I have been accepted at both for Computer Science. I currently live in the UK.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be much happier at Northwestern, however, the degree takes a year longer, and the tuition is about 27k£ compared to 9k£ in Imperial.
The rankings for Northwestern vs Imperial are significant in all ranking websites. Imperial is ranked 12th by USnews global while Northwestern is 25. Especially, the computing ranking for Northwestern is much much lower as the program is not as prestigious.
Any suggestions??

Go for the cheaper option if money is a concern. Otherwise, go with whichever country you wish to work in when you graduate. If you want to work in the US, go to NU. If you wish to work in Europe, go to Imperial. Both are excellent.

By the way, the USNWR international ranking is based on British rankings, which clearly favor British universities.

They’re very different educations as well. At Imperial, as you may know, you’d only study in your field. At NU, you may dabble or even switch majors if you realize that CS isn’t for you. Also, seems that at many English unis, undergraduate education is more hands-off.
