Northwestern RD Class of 2022 Discussion Thread

Will Northwestern send out an email beforehand letting applicants know the release date?

I submitted my app right on the deadline. Will this hurt my chances?

@Heisenberg1700 As long as it was in on time you’ll be evaluated like everyone else.

oops

I applied to SESP for Secondary Education. Idk if it’s more selective necessarily- it’s the smallest school but according stats Northwestern released it also receives least number of applicants. I’m pretty sure it used to be easier to get into SESP but now the acceptance rate is supposedly the same for most of the schools.

Any other applicants to Bienen on here?

And in 2016 NU results were posted to portal plus email on Thurs March 17 probably 1 or 2 Pacific time = 3 or 4pm Central. So looks like they like the 17th or closest date near that. Good luck to all the wannabee future Wildcats!

@ljschalif not applicant but alum from Bienen. Let me know if you have any questions.

@ljschlaif I’m applying for jazz studies at Bienen. Academically, I am as qualified as anyone applying but the jazz program is ridiculously hard to get into.

Any idea how hard it is to get into Medill?

@ilovebooks123 difficult especially due to increase of applicants this year.

Can anyone else who applied for econ OOS share their stats?
Just wanna see where I stand

Any outstanding information about McCormick? Since everyone is asking about the schools they are applying to

My essays are great, and my counselor said that my recs were some of the best she has ever seen.

As you can see, I’ve been to three different high schools so it was hard for me to be consistent. They weren’t due to disciplinary reasons; my family just moved around a lot in the last couple years.

For some context, I was denied Wharton ED @ UPenn, but I got into UVA out of state.

@Kova34 we have very similar stats. What subjects do you take in the IB and how much have you been getting?

I’m also taking full IB diploma. I’m taking HL English, History, and Physics and SL Spanish, Psychology and Math
The only subject I’ve tested in is Math and I got a final grade of 6

Did anyone get a request for additional financial or citizenship information?

I’ve done the full IB diploma too! I passed it in the November 2017 session

@IntApp2022 Cool! How much did you get?
