At this point, I don’t think NU is the right school for me but I don’t want to get rejected. I wish they would never let me know what happened.

My “Why Northwestern” essay was really terrible. does that mean im rejected?

@piranhavator - you can withdraw your application. Then your really won’t ever know. You can send an email or call your AO. Not sure if you can do it online.

A Saturday doesn’t mean they won’t post. Last week when my D hadn’t heard from some other schools by Friday night, we figured there’d be no new news until at least Monday. And then one of her schools (Macalester) notified her of her acceptance on Sunday afternoon. So don’t rule the weekend out!
Should we wait for an email? I’ve read conflicting things in this forum about whether or not Northwestern sends out an email to notify applicants of admissions decisions. Do we get an email or do we just have to manually check the applicant portal?
@piranhavator I hear you. My D probably won’t choose NU at this point because after she submitted apps she decided she really wants to be at a women’s school - but she would still like to know she got accepted. If she was accepted though, she could change her mind if she visits again.

How do you activate the NetID?
For the Northwestern statement, we didn’t need to upload it AGAIN on the portal where it says upload additional documents, correct? If we had already submitted the NW statement through the common app that means that they will see it?
