Has anyone received a "northwestern scholarship" on their fin aid package. If so, how much was it per year?

mine was 20,000 for one year

I think they're going to vary, b/c that's what NU calls their need-based grants. They're not merit awards---but you all had to have merit just to get in, so that's great!

I got around $7,000, which is one of the major negatives for me, considering Notre Dame gave me more.

D A M N
First I got $900 per quarter, but they dropped that to $666. I don't know how to make that work. EFC= $41,000

mine was about $12,000 for one year

My NU Schol is about 29,000/year. I suppose I got one of the "better" packages.

When did you guys send in your finaid materials?

$10,602 per quarter.. so $32,406 per year

but with $7500 additional in loans and $11,100 in family contributions, unaffordable to me! :)

I sent most of mine in like in Feb/March, but didn't realize that I had to send in something even though I don't make an income and don't pay taxes, so that was sent in 2 weeks ago.

Along with the scholarship above, I got work-study of 750/quarter and a loan of 3200 for the year.

I got 31,000 in scholarship money. Does anyone know what they Federal SEOG-EV thing is....is that a grant or a loan? Also, Macalester is giving me 4,050 in pell grant money and northwestern is giving me 3,900--i know it's not much of a difference...but can i get northwestern to give me the rest and why is there a difference?

Federal SEOG-EV is a grant. It's basically an extension of the pell grant for people who have a lot of need.
