I was accepted to the MPPA (Master of Public Policy and Admin) program for the Fall '06 and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I was very happy to get in, because it's perfect for me considering my interests and being that I work full-time. But, I was interested in knowing more from a current or former student's perspective if I can find one. Or, just someone's opinion about the School of Contining Studies in general.

Your insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

After reading this site a bit, I get the feeling this forum is more for undergrads and high school seniors. However, I'm bumping the thread anyway just in case there is someone out there with info they could share my way.

Thanks again, and congratulations to all of you whom were recently admitted. I wish I was smart enough to have gotten in as an undergrad. In the limited time I've spend on campus and attending football games there...I think all of you will be extremely happy with your decision.

For you incoming freshman, I have one request - ATTEND THE FOOTBALL GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everytime I go to game at Ryan, the opposing team outnumbers the home team 10 to 1. Pretty pathetic being this is a Top 25 team from last year and a Big Ten Conference Member. Be nerds Sun - Fri. Take a break from studying on Saturdays and support your school. I've been a season ticket holder for 4 years and didn't even go to the damn school.

Unfortunately, I'll still be rooting for UIC during the basketball season. Though I guess I'll techically be an NU Student this Fall (loosely)...UIC's my alma mater.
