For the Northwestern statement, can you write about why you want to study your intended major and tie that into Northwestern, or does it have to just be about why you want to go to Northwestern?

Here is the prompt:
What are the unique qualities of Northwestern - and of the specific undergraduate school to which you are applying - that make you want to attend the University? In what ways do you hope to take advantage of the qualities you have identified?

I’m sure you can talk about why you want to study a specific major and relate that to Northwestern. Like cite specific resources at NW that supplement your intended major

You can absolutely address both topics. In fact, I think it would be advantageous to do so. Good luck!

Perfect, thank you!

Mine was less focused on specifics like majors and such, and more on fit, but I think that yours will definitely be good. Rather than write about why you want to do that major, however, write about why you want to do that major AT Northwestern, rather than just tying it in, if that makes any sense.
