It is good because it means they are doing their jobs...I don't think having your application been with the director for several days means any thing other than him/her not getting to it yet. It would be very impractical to review an applicant and then put him/her aside to look at later because it would waste time, so they probably haven't looked at it yet.

Also, since it is with the Director, you may be getting a decision fairly soon since admission is rolling.

^^ most peoples say they have something missing. they aren't going to update credentials. the site says "if we need something, we'll contact you".

"Your application was completed on May X, 2007

Thank you, Name, for applying to Northwestern University. The admission committee will review all your materials and send you a decision after the May 1st application deadline."

It says,
"We are pleased that you have decided to apply to Northwestern University. We have received your application to the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences to begin study in Fall 2007.

If you are missing any items necessary to complete your application, we will notify you after the May 1st application deadline."

Then, once I click the link to verify materials received, it says that items with an "Y" by them have been received.

anybody have an idea as to when everybody can expect their decisions by? i understand the whole "rolling admissions" process, but was curious the exact time frame i can expect to hear something. this is the last decision i'm waiting for, and must submit a deposit to another school by june, so time is of the essence. thanks if anybody has anything to add, and congrats to those already on their way to evanston.
