Northwestern Thread for Transfer Students

It is good because it means they are doing their jobs...I don't think having your application been with the director for several days means any thing other than him/her not getting to it yet. It would be very impractical to review an applicant and then put him/her aside to look at later because it would waste time, so they probably haven't looked at it yet.

Also, since it is with the Director, you may be getting a decision fairly soon since admission is rolling.

bumpy char

and we wait

My application status page says that I still have something missing, even though to the best of my knowlege it was sent.

Anybody else still missing something?

^^ most peoples say they have something missing. they aren't going to update credentials. the site says "if we need something, we'll contact you".

Yeah, but then again, it also says that credentials are updated every TWO days.

bump for my top choice

Does it say

"Your application was completed on May X, 2007

Thank you, Name, for applying to Northwestern University. The admission committee will review all your materials and send you a decision after the May 1st application deadline."

On the top of your page?

https://ugadm.northwestern.edu/application/

It says,
"We are pleased that you have decided to apply to Northwestern University. We have received your application to the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences to begin study in Fall 2007.

If you are missing any items necessary to complete your application, we will notify you after the May 1st application deadline."

Then, once I click the link to verify materials received, it says that items with an "Y" by them have been received.

It doesn't say it on the top of the list of items?

I got accepted today (McCormick).

I sent in my application on April 30th - ish.

^^ That's great!!! i'm jealous. congratulations!! do you plan on attending?

when was the letter mailed?

does your online page say that you got admitted?

jna - Probably yeah

Superman123 - It was mailed two days ago I guess (I'm from Chicago Suburbs). It does not say online.

wow awesome news MidtoTop. Congratulations! Hopefully some of us will see you in the fall if we get in.

Congratulations!

Thanks guys.

I think its looking good for NU transfers this year, nothing like last years 17%. Hopefully I will see many of you guys up there this fall.

anybody have an idea as to when everybody can expect their decisions by? i understand the whole "rolling admissions" process, but was curious the exact time frame i can expect to hear something. this is the last decision i'm waiting for, and must submit a deposit to another school by june, so time is of the essence. thanks if anybody has anything to add, and congrats to those already on their way to evanston.

Midtotop (and any other accepted transfers):

Do you think you could post or PM your stats and transfer essays? it would be great if you could. Obviously, it's all at your discretion.

Last years they only accepted 17%? Damn. I thought it was around 25-30%. Why do you say that it looks better for this year?
