Do you mind posting your stats? @bman10 @jerseyboy123 @transfer0196 I wanna know my chances!
Did you guys have gpas above 3.5? My gpa is 3.5 I’m scared that, that’s too low for northwestern. But I have research and ECs to make up for it…
@Jerseyboy123 @transfer0196 @bman10 Congrats! I submitted just before the deadline and received an email about missing materials I mailed in January…
Sent my materials right before deadline. GPA on midterm and first semester were 4.0, 3.97 UW from HS - usual ECs and such. 2220 SAT. Those are the broad strokes.
EDIT: from rank ~50ish state school, freshman student currently for sophomore this fall at NU. 99 percent sure I’m going here. Any other questions, ask away. If you got in, what are the next steps???

–Top 10 state school
High School: 3.72 UW
College: 3.5 (All A’s one B-, but the B- was in a course that was weighted a lot)
ACT: 30 (35 English, 34 math, 22 reading, 30 science)
Letter of rec from someone who Northwestern recently interviewed and did a piece on
Essays were strong
EC’s
Cheerleading
NRF (national retail federation)
Sorority
Lots of service/volunteer work
Honors societies and other stuff from high school too but I don’t think that matters as much
I’m also bilingual which I emphasized in my essays!
@transfer0196 I also submitted by that time but they sent me an email saying my high school transcript was not received but I’m sure they did so I emailed back. They said the email was in error, I’m not sure about whether my application will be deferred reviewing by this incident.
@rvyuan Also missing high school transcript. I emailed back but they haven’t replied.
EDIT: So I requested my high school to resend it and just received an email saying my file is complete.
@jquery Yep, me too!
I wonder if anyone has gotten denied yet… I feel like my days are numbered lol
Other accepted students, have you received your financial aid offer yet? Kind of important…
My gpa is low as well. Although it seems less competitive, I think we shouldn’t give up hope since there’s no minimum gpa.
Good job guys! Do you guys think having a parent who works at northwestern helps the chance of getting in? It seems like it would?
@Finalsarefun12 yes it would definitely help
Depends on your parent’s networking skills!
@NorthwesternDad I believe that they do.
In that case, you have a good chance!
@kiekers just have faith and we will get in :).
Hi all! So nervous to receive my decision. Congrats to those who have already been accepted.
does anyone know when the rest of the decisions are supposed to come out??
