I'm applying to Northwestern U and on the website it says that the deadline is May1 for the fall quarter transfers.
But it also says that they will start making decisions on rolling basis after the deadline.
Does this mean the earlier I turn in my application the better chance?

No, transfers are required to use the online application, and there is no March 1 due date for anything on any of the pages. The supplementary forms all have May 1 as the due date for fall quarter with no mention of early decision. I think you might have gotten two universities' forms confused.

my northwestern ap was completed about a week or 2 ago, and it is due May 1, the reason why i got it done so early was b/c i want a decision before June,

bball,
what would going to northwestern do to improve your situation or to provide the things you find missing from cornell? not in a city, sat average not to your liking, accepts 35 percent of transfers (and freshman applicants) which by your reasoning means a less impressive degree, and it is all greek..

um, nw is not my first choice, it is simply an option, i got in last year, and i really like northwestern, and it is 20 mins from chicago, and evanston is gorgeous

edit: yeah, they haven't gotten my college transcript either (which I've sent in two or three times, the latest being two months ago), or one of my recs, but i think it's only been a week or two since the rec was mailed

in part1 of the application,
the very first part has something called 'application id'
and also the site above requires 'application id' to check status
but i have never received my 'application id'
i guess we are supposed to receive it before submitting the application since part1 of the application has it...
anyone know about it?
