I’m a junior right now and will be taking 5 APs my senior year… i did rather poorly gpa wise my freshman year but got all As last semester.

WILL CHANCE BACK

You have really good ECs, test scores, and balance to the classes you’ve taken. The main problem hindering you for NU is GPA. For ED you should have a decent chance due with a strong essay due to your massive upward trend but for RD where the number of competitive applicants is like multiplied by 10 (and an acceptance rate of <5% versus 33% ED) you’d probably have no chance just because the average accept is SOO much higher RD. I’d try to use the common app additional comments section to your advantage to explain the disconnect between your current and underclassman grades, that may help. Good luck!
