Northwestern vs. Notre Dame?

Which is more heavily recruited/well reputed in business circles?

By the way Northwestern has a new Kellogg certificate program...sounds pretty nice. On the other hand ND has their famous alum network.

Northwestern. It's not even close.

notre dame. it's not even close

very nice. this is for undergrad, by the way.

Northwestern is located in a major transportation hub which is easily accessible to travelers from NYC, LA, Paris, London etc..., not to mention Chicago itself. IT also has a top ranked MBA program and a top 10 Econ department. Those departments attract most major companies and they recruit both undergrads and grads. I'd say that for those reasons, NU has an advantage over Notre Dame. However, the advantage isn't huge given, as the OP aptly pointed out, Notre Dame's very strong alumni network. Between those two schools, I'd say Northwestern is the better choice for professional placement, but the difference is not significant.

Northwestern all the way. The location kicks major butt.

If you are good at math and get into their MMSS program, you chance to join one of the big firms is pretty good. http://www.mmss.northwestern.edu/ And if you then get into their Kellogg certificate program, you will be all set!http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/certificate/prospective/finance/index.htm
