My daughter received a text on May 3 to call admissions and was offered a place off the waitlist. She is undeclared and going to Arts and Sciences. She wrote 2 letters of interest. I wish you all the best and know that if you are on the waitlist you have incredible qualifications and will do well wherever you go. Congratulations for your accomplishments and enjoy your education!

Congrats to your daughter!! Can I ask why she uploaded two letters of interest? Iā€™ve been thinking about writing a second one too but I donā€™t have any recent accomplishments other than the ones I included in my first letter of interest, and I fear they might think me annoying haha

She feared that also, but she wrote one as soon as she received the notification that she was waitlisted and she wrote a second one on May 1. I believe the schools figure that after the commitment date and students have put down their deposits they may not still be interested and this second letter serves as a confirmation of their interest. I think it doesnā€™t hurt and telling the admissions department that Northwestern is still your #1 choice is probably not annoying.
