would love to post my very own “OMGMGMGM THEY JUST EMAILED ME” but alas
My daughter just got off waitlist 2 days ago! Sent LOCI. Had her counselor send in a letter of recommendation. College of communications. Major in musical theatre and minor in classics! Got email to call a number. Finally reached an admissions officer who told her personally.

No one in particular. Just the standard admissions office. Also sent an email to regional admissions officer that she was highly interested.

Before my daughter got off waitlist, Someone from admissions emailed me that they will stop offering by the end of June. So we were ready psychologically to wait it. BTW, we r from Dallas, Texas.

Same! I was also told by admissions that they will stop at the end of june but since people have been getting off the waitlist I’ve been checking my email everyday lol.

I think it depends on whether is was a specific email to you or generic, in which it was sent to the entire waitlist pool. If it’s an email from your admissions officer, it’s a great sign!! 
Are you talking about when they told us to confirm our interest? If that’s the case, they send it out to everybody unfortunately. 
Not, just referring to the one quoted above that they will close in June
