Not a confirmed citizen?

I recently reviewed my FAFSA summary and it said that I wasn't a confirmed citizen by the Social Security Admission. What does this mean? I am a United States citizen. What should I do?

Were you at one time NOT a citizen? If you recently became a citizen, you will need to provide the schools with your paperwork. If you have always been a citizen, did you give an incorrect social security number?

Sounds like a SSN# problem. Someone could be hijacking your # for employment purposes. You need to get your birth certificate and get down there quick. SSA is a notoriously slow moving organization. Do not wait! GL

If you a child of naturalized US citizens and did not go thru naturalization process yourself, you need to visit SSA office to request a change in your citizenship status.

Thank you guys! I called the schools that I applied for and they said to just fax or email my passport or birth certificate to prove my citizenship! :)))
