Not able to start a club

<p>This is my junior year, and because my club wasn't approved, I am not going to be able to start a club that I really wanted to start at my school this year. I have a couple of leadership positions (not founder/president) in other organizations and activities I am involved in, and I'd like to devote my time to these activities. So I don't really have an interest in starting up that club anymore.</p>

<p>It seems like many applicants to top colleges have started at least 1 club. Will this significantly hurt me in college admissions if I don't start at least 1 club in high school?</p>

I will suggest playing a big part in your school community being that you are a Junior</p>

<p>Nope it won’t affect you. Why start a club if there is already plenty of clubs there that suit you just fine? Seems like a waste to me.</p>
