Starting a club.

I'm currently a junior (and very nervous for college admissions next year) and I have an idea for a club that actually came to me very randomly one day. The thing is, the club wouldn't really be official until next year (I have to find an adviser, organize members, submit proposal, etc), and I don't want the colleges I'm applying to to think that I only started a club so that I could boost my app because I really am not!

My freshman and sophomore year I was minimally involved in extracurriculars as my parents firmly believed that I should dedicate all my time to my academics.

What do I do? Are the admissions officers going to think I'm just doing this to pad my resume?

i think its a good idea to start it… even if it wont be official until next year, you can put some effort into it and it will be a part of your application.

As far as the admissions officer’s mind i concerned - i think they would rather that you put in some effort than have a blank application. And, if you write about your passion for the club, i m sure they’ll see your genuine desire!

So go ahead with it!

Anybody else have any advice?
