Not attending UCSB Orientation

So...the title says it all. I heard the benefits of going to transfer orientation is you'll get an early registration for the classes you need. What are some of the benefits? My registration date is on September 6 lol kinda late. Is it THAT HARD to get the classes you want? Thanks guys

I am going to orientation and I’m wondering if the early enrollment date you get really helps. What is a good enrollment date, one where I will most likely get my classes with the teachers I want?

My registration date is on the 6th as well. It seems like classes are already starting to fill up for fall 2012. From what I’ve read, crashing classes is not that difficult but who wants that stress on their first quarter there?

if you miss orientation, you wont get the class you want, but you should be able to fill up your schedule with classes that will count towards your degree

I just registered. I want to try to get my classes without crashing. I hate crashing. Also I want to get the classes I need to finish my degree. I was able to screw around at SMC taking any classes I wanted but I can’t afford to do that at UCSB.

Oh i see. I thought crashing would be harder to do at UCSB but I also hear that they reserve classes for incoming Transfers. I don’t think it’ll be that hard getting classes. Orientation seems like a waste of money to me honestly. They send you information on how you can enroll in courses. I read on other threads that people think it’s something you can easily do on your own.

Anyone here know how to apply for the suggested loans given on the unofficial financial aid award?

some time in the future, a link will pop up (you will be notified via email) that will allow you to type in the amount you wish to borrow. it’s really quite simple on that front…

Hello all,

Do you guys know where I can check when my registration date is for classes? I’m also a transfer student for Fall 2012 from Diamond Bar, CA.

Thanks :)

1) google search “gold ucsb login”
2) click on the first option
3) login using ucsb Net ID and password
4) click on registration info
5) select fall 2012 quarter

And that’s it  your pass time should show up.
