Not Contacted For Interview?

Hey guys,

So I applied RD for Brown and live in a large city in CA. My friend who lives a few blocks away was contacted the first week in Jan for an interview, but I still have not been. Should I contact them (which is what I read in another thread)? Thanks!

ETA: She goes to the same prep school as me.

I would call the admissions office on Monday. See what their policy is on the interview, and whether there are any steps you can take to meet with an alum. I got a Brown interview in January too, but it’s not a big deal if you aren’t contacted. My interviewer actually told me that what he said he said really didn’t matter, and that it was supposed to be more of a question-answer session for me.

If they’re too busy to give you an interview, they won’t hold that against you.

Don’t call the admissions office. That’s a waste of time. Read the first sticky thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/810532-brown-interview-faq-and-answers.html

At this point, I’d say yes, call admissions. Interview write-ups are due in a week. Now is the time to call and say you haven’t been contacted.

I will reiterate that there is no connection to getting an interview with the size of the city you live in or whether a classmate got an interview.
