School awards don’t matter as much as all the other things I mentioned.

You’re fine, but start thinking about things like extra-curriculars and internship now. I didn’t have anything in Sophomore year, but this year i’ve really been getting involved with extra-curricular activities. The earlier the better but it’s definitely not too late to start. Unless you’re a zombie. Zombies don’t care about school because they’re too busy eating brains.

bump!!!

Tis not too late for CTY.

Here are some things I’ve done that I think are interesting, but not “awards.”
-Published a paper in a political journal
-Helped start up a non-profit and am on the board of directors
-Edit a political journal
-Serve on the student advisory committee for a school for impoverished girls
-Girls State
-CTY
-Captain of Science Olympiad
-Invited to Math League state invitational
