Not finishing IB Diploma - Do Colleges Care?

So what happens if a student doesn't turn in the EE or does not get a passing score on the EE/TOK, but completes all the academic work and takes the IB exams (and passes them successfully) -- do US colleges care? Would they revoke an acceptance?

IB has changed its standards for awarding a diploma so that soon, students will have to pass TOK AND EE for a diploma, and I am curious about whether that will affect college acceptances -- esp. since one doesn't get TOK/EE scores until after HS graduation, at which point college deposits have been made, etc., etc.

Conditional offers vs unconditional offer. =D

Diplomas aren’t released until July, after the freshman class has been finalized. I’m pretty sure you won’t be rescinded; most schools only use IB scores for placement.

And I thought you only needed to pass one of them to get your diploma. I thought the new policy was that if you pass only one of them you need 28 points instead of 24, and if you don’t pass either you don’t get your diploma.

Aha. True. I got an E for my EE (hmm…) but got an A for my TOK (woot) and a 39 which gave me a 40. Eh.

It’s funny because junior year I was all like, “I’m not going to be like the seniors who slack of and get an E on their EE…” and now I really don’t care haha. I know that a) I won’t get an E on my TOK and b) I’ll have 28 points easily so it really doesn’t matter.

Haha. Same.

EE was not fun at all. I did mine on Stalin and that only made it complicated.

First Five Year Plan (1928-32) to be exact.

I did mine on Hitler rants.

Mine is on tibetan independence movement. Should have done a math paper.

If you are thinking that I’m doing history. Then you are wrong. No, I’m doing Psychology. There’s this guy on youtube that uploades these hitler videos. xD

Mine’s technically not history either, it’s peace and conflict studies.

Try search Hitler hates SATs

S’s paper is also peace and conflict studies. Is totally frozen.
