You're right about McDonalds. I've heard you can get a job bagging groceries though - after all it is an Industrial Labor degree. I think relations come later.

Holy hell, maybe I can work my way up to cashiering after a solid twenty years too.

hahahaaaa SUNY IThaca

My ILR degree says "Cornell University" at the top, but because Industrial and Labor Relations is such a funny name, I almost didn't get my job at that big prestigious bank.

which other schools at cornell dont say cornell?

svg it's a joke man. To my knowledge they all say Cornell somewhere.

Goldman Sachs Rep: So you want to work for GS?
Me: Yes, here is my diploma.
Goldman Sachs Rep: Industrial and Labor Rel - LOLROFLLMAO

they all say SUNY ITHACA... duh

The word Cornell might be on the diplomas, but I think only as part of a word search. That way they know if you are really qualified to be an Industrial Laborer.

I heard that they dnt even give you a degree. Somone told me they just scrible the following on a piece of paper:

(your name) did NOT graduate from Cornell he instead chose to attend some school with a weird name that is not even good enough to be part of the SUNY system

Correct me if I am wrong

what are you guys doing here? is this funny?

since when has this site become so childish..

alota of us are really stressed, we are just kidding.

I know people here are being sarcastic, but it still implies that you are all insecure that you spend so much time on this subject. Just ignore fools like Splinter, no need to get all riled up.

No corrections necessary.

Norcalguy: I don't deny I have some of the same issues as Splintercell, but that does not mean I can not recognize that I am irrational (its like a fat person knows that they are fat, and that they shouldn't be, and yet they keep eating...).

I find this thread highly entertaining and it is probably the most comical thing on the site.

i concur ^

Who takes a diploma to a job interview or submits it to any employer or grad school?
