Not going to Orientation?

I don't know if I can afford Orientation. If I don't go, how can I register for classes?

Thanks.

^ Do you mean traveling costs? Orientation itself is free (for the student)…

If you really can’t go, contact USC. They’ll either lift the restriction from the site* & offer you some phone/email advising as you register or have you wait till welcome week.

*You register for classes here: https://camel2.usc.edu/webreg/Login.asp</a>. However, I have no idea how to get the “6 digit passcode” yet, so I just log in through here: https://my.usc.edu and click on the “Web Registration” link to the left. Mine has a restriction placed by my department, so I can’t officially register yet, just see what classes are available & create a mock schedule. You might have a restriction, you might not. If you don’t, I highly recommend looking up the classes required for your major/degree beforehand so you don’t accidentally waste precious units! Also, when selecting the time blocks, don’t forget to factor in walking distances (use Google maps), meal times & any activities you might wanna do.

You could also ask to do the international orientation right before classes start in the fall so you only have to travel to USC once. No extra travel expenses, and you get the whole orientation experience.

Thanks, guys. I was reading it wrong; I thought the $350 for Orientation was optional, but I see now that Orientation is technically free and I’d have to pay the $350 even if I didn’t go, so I’m going! :p

^ Yay :)
