I currently in a community college I was looking to transfer out to a 4 year college. I didn't get accepted to any of the 6 I applied to. I knew I had little chance to transfer but I took a shot. I applied to tier 1 college ranked around 80-120 and two tier 3.

I knew becuase of my gpa which is a 2.48. Some I feel were unfair grades some now I have a better understanding of the subject, but my gpa doesn't show that. Is this possible to change community college without telling them I went to a different one to transfer there gpa into the new cc.

I want a fresh start I know for sure I can get a 3.8 and higher gpa if I had a fresh new start. Do I just aplly to a new community college stating I am new without telling them I am transfering or does the transfer to a new community college wont count that 2.48 when I want to apply to a 4 year college.

all transcripts/colleges attended will follow you. no exceptions that i am aware of.
and if you dont tell the college your applying to and they find out you can get kicked out.

i think your best bet is to not get discouraged and continue to do well.
get a strong upward trend going and explain your situation in your personal statement/essay.

I’m sorry to tell you this, but having anything less than a cumulative 3.5 with extreme extenuating circumstances discounts any chance of you getting into a top university. So you’d need to actually take enough classes to balance that GPA much higher and you might already have too many credits by the time that happens.

So if I go to a different community college that 2.48 gpa will stick with the new one also. What I am trying to say is that I will start with the new community college with a 2.48 and not a fresh start?

Another thing I am not looking to go to some ivy league school as that is out of my league, I am looking for a known school that students are happy with. The community college I go to is like high school level and people dont act mature. It like I am stuck in high school.

i believe it will follow… CC is already considered the 2nd chance/fresh start.
attending multiple CC’s does not mean multiple chances. :(

regardless, when you apply for whatever college it is…it will show.

like jetlogic mentioned, balancing out the GPA would be your only option. stay focused.

some more options that i am aware of are…

academic renewal - i belive after 2 years of taken a class taht you failed, you can ask for this and that letter grade will be removed and replaced with a Z.

retaking classes can often replace the failing grade but the college will still know you did so. but atleast your GPA will be higher

hoping that the classes you took with bad grades are ones that do NOT transfer over to your college of choice. although when you apply your GPA may look bad now…if only the classes that got A’s transfer over…then technically the GPA you have at the college is a 4.0 lol :)
