Not qualifying for ELC - still use number?

As most of my peers have been getting their admission guarantee letters from UCSB, UCD, UCI and such, I failed to make it into the ELC program because of a foreign language requirement - I had yet to transfer my community college credits before my transcript was sent off to ELC reviewing. Pretty ironic, considering I'm currently ranked #2 in the class. Anyways, on the UC application there is an input for my ELC number - should I still put it in anyways? Meaning, will it hurt me in any way to have my number in there, even though it didn't qualify? Since then I've updated my transcript so it has all my courses in there - it's just a shame I didn't qualify for ELC

honestly, if you're number 2, you're pretty much a shoo-in for UCSB, UCI, and most likely UCD, which has grown ~~ competitive over the years. Don't take the chance, and start a new application.
