I have taken 3 SAT subject tests: chem, bio, and math 2. My bio and math 2 scores are both 750+, but my chem score is a 710. Should I still send the chem subject test? I got an A in my one chem class I took, so proving proficiency in chem isn’t a problem. I will be applying to top schools (aiming for top 20). Thanks for all the responses!
Any subject test score of 700+ shouldn’t be any reason to deny you admission to a top school, unless maybe you’re applying to a very STEM school. What’s your intended major?
You should send all three scores. Some schools automatically just look at the top 2 (so in essence their computer drops the Chem score from your summary sheet) whereas others will include all 3. There is no way that the Chem score will hurt your application.
I agree with @londondad
710 is not a bad score. I got a 670 Math II and 550 Physics and still to get into a prestigious university. To be fair, I wasn’t feeling too good that day but it’s not like I will email the admissions officers and offer them an excuse.
Thanks! I will be majoring in something like biology. Thanks again for all the advice
