Next Year Im going to take AP Calculus BC and so far I am scheduled for 4 ap classes. I want to get a 5 th ap class in because i can handle it. Im good at math, I like it, and I work hard at school. Only problem is the 5th ap i can possibly take is AP Stats. I know its easy but every year when we learn probability in school i find it hard. I usually have to study super hard to get A’s on them probability tests because i dont get it. if im willing to work hard, do you think i should go for stats. also is probability like half of the curriculum or a small part of it? Please reply.
sorry i meant i have 5 ap’s and i wanna go for 6.
You’re taking Calc BC and AP Physics C. I think you can handle AP stats.
Clearly, you do get it because you get A’s on the tests.
ok thx , i know even my dad is like ap stats is easy but ive been legit struggling with probability since the 6th grade so thats y i was unsure
@HugeOverachiever I recommend AoPS “Introduction to Counting and Probability.”
Also, only 10-20% of AP Stats is basic probability that doesn’t require knowledge of different probability distributions, z- or t-tests, etc (basically things that are accessible to an Algebra 2 student).
really so it look pretty easy then. once its at a basic level and its only 20% of the curriculum then im good because i thought it would have been crazy harder than alg 2 prbabability since its AP
thx MITer94 and skieurope
