Does not taking AP tests (ones which I would receive no credit or bump in placement) post-acceptance require me to e-mail Cornell? What are your thoughts on this? Considering AP tests are supposed to save me money in college, I don't see the purpose in paying to take an exam that won't do so.

Cornell doesn’t care. Whether or not you choose to take the AP test is up to you, and the only thing it’ll affect is whether you receive credit for intro courses.

I don’t see why they’d have a problem as long as you complete the classes. I wish my school would let me do this, AP tests are mandatory in order to get credit for the class which is dumb because we still have to pay the $80 or whatever per test no matter what.
