Application Status reads:

Thank you for your application to NC State University. We are pleased to notify you of your acceptance into the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences - Biological Sciences for the 2007 Fall semester. Official notification of your admission should be arriving by U.S. mail shortly.

Now I just gotta wait on my Carolina application =/

Congrats to everyone else who was accepted. Anybody else find out today??? I just checked my status at 4:30pm and at 5:30pm i checked again and yay!!

Yeah, so i'm guessing that they don't change the wolfpaw until after about 4:30 b/c every change that occured to my status was post 4:30...

I have never even been to the campus before so I will probably schedule a tour of some sort. What is the average NC State student like?

Congrats to you Pride_Surfer. I've been following your posts on the admissions wait and am glad to see you had a good outcome.

You should definitely schedule a tour of NCSU. It certainly has a different look than UNC but don't let all the bricks fool you. The Brickyard is a cool place where lots of activities go on. The campus is actually more compact and I am told is easier to navigate than UNC. It is a great school and a fun place to be. My S and his friends from here love it and say they are so glad they didn't go to UNC. One of their best friends went to UNC is now transferring to NCSU for Spring semester. I know UNC is your first choice and I wish you luck on getting admitted there as well but don't feel like you're "settling for less" if you end up at NCSU. Take a visit. You may change your mind!

NCSU is not a greek oriented as UNC, not as liberal, not as pretentious, more of just your regular guy school. Don't take that to mean the students aren't as good. They are. My S and all the kids from his h.s. who attend NCSU were all good students in h.s. and many (including S) received scholarships. Like any big public univ., there will be students of every kind there. My S's stats were...#6 of 450, 1400 SAT (old), 7 AP's, AP SCholar w/ Distinction, etc. Started out at NCSU with 20 units of AP credit. I think State is a school that is very easy to fit in. There is something for everybody. Good Luck to you.............PackMom

Daughter just called. She finally heard and is in. Now for the apartment search!

Congrats to your D mkm56. There are lots of apartments near State and lots of leases will be running out in May. Good luck in your search.

Congratulations! Sounds like such a great school. We'll be waiting awhile for our RD decision...

I have not taken ACT or SAT. I am a B/C student with serious interest in Horticulture/Agriculture. I am ADHD with several LD’s however I work hard to get my grades. I take Honors classes, but no AP’s. I am a varisty wrestler. I also volunteer long hours locally at Food Bank Garden and at Old Salem Gardens. Do I have any chance at all of getting into NCSU? What would be best strategy for application 2011-12?
