Although I am nearly positive I qualify for In-state tuition because I did a fair bit of research/calling and met requirements, I wanted to make sure of this seeing as it is a humongously big deal. Have they told us they will notify us of this soon or should I know now? Either way I plan to call the admissions office right now but I figured I would check with my trusty CCers too.

Im an international student living in VA. My dad has been living here for about 4 years so i should qualify for instate-tution. When i called the admissions office today, they said that im instate. So you should also call them ASAP.

youre a peach srk. im calling now

and its not available at this time? howd you even find out!

i called at around 10:30 AM

i dont understand. they outright said they wont have the information until the 4th. they didnt even ask my name!

You called Financial Aid. Call the Office of Admission and we can tell you if you were read as a Virginian or an OOS student.

o gosh, i called office of admission first and they said "we don't handle that. call financial aid at blah-blah-6000" (blah=i dont know what they said so i looked it up online). ill try again tomorrow but my chances at attending UVA are sounding pretty high

You probably asked about how you'll be billed. Just ask if you were considered Virginian or OOS.

ok will you do. i think ive said this before but youre probably the most helpful admin counselor on this site, if not the web. then again, im a bit biased cuz UVA is the only school i applied to that is on this website
