Congrats!!!

I think you’re from Alabama right? Can I ask what your ACT or SAT was?

Congrats!!!

I think you’re from Alabama right? Can I ask what your ACT or SAT was?

Rejection must be coming for me. Hopefully I get the NMF thing though. CBHP comes out soon right?

jrt…you made NMF. :)

The rejection letters for NMF went out 3 weeks ago. Since you didn’t get one, you made NMF. :)

CBH notifications go out around Feb 1st.

did anyone else have to pay additional postage?

That postage thing concerns me…

I think a semi-finalist should call Wellon and tell her that the postage may not have been right on the letters. 205-348-5599

If the postage isn’t right, it will cause a delay and may even cause some letters to be returned to Bama.

According to a dad that emailed me, the shape is non-standard. If that’s true, then that would require additional postage.

I emailed Wellon & explained that I still had not heard, and knew that one finalist had been notified with a letter sent postage due. I explained that I was afraid my letter may have had the same problem and asked if I could get an answer via email.

I received a response back promptly asking me to verify my address, which I did. I was told to let them know if I still did not receive a letter after the mail runs on Monday.

So, it appears the ones of us in limbo will have to wait either on a letter or till Monday to find something out.

Hmmmm…

I think they should just send emails out now.

It’s about six inches square. The non-standard shape is probably the issue. My d’s graduation invitations a few years ago were square (made to look like a mortarboard cap), and they required extra postage because of the shape.

Thanks to several posters for the gracious & informative PMs!

I’m going to be really unhappy if I’m in limbo until Monday…that’s nearly a week after others found out…just send an email :)

no mail in houston today…

^^^

Would you be willing to call Wellon and ask her about the postage and non-standard size issue? I would do it, but she’d ask for the name of the UFE semi-finalist, and obviously I don’t have one. Maybe you could suggest that they send out emails to all.

Update, my dad, the grandfather, had checked the mail…Now he remembers a square purplish/maroonish envelope with fellows on it…could it be?

What did he do with it??? I think that’s it. That’s what the dad described to me on PM.

Where is it???

Was there a “postage due” on it???

LOL

I got my letter-no additional postage required
good news here!

Congrats Rocket!!! I am so happy for you and the other finalists.

Now, if the mail would just cooperate for the rest!

I wonder if those who had phone interviews, but did not make finalists could post and say how they felt that their phone interviews went. I wonder if they felt that the interview didn’t go well or something.

congrats Rocket! (and the rest of you!)
DS got his rejection letter - not unexpected at all and good to be on to the next thing.

^^^^

Sorry to hear.

Did he sense anything wrong during the phone interview?

^if you’re referring to DS, there was definitely something wrong during his phone interview… he didn’t get one!
seriously, it was a long shot now that we’re seeing the qualifications of some on here… looks like they made some wise choices!
