I got my invitation in the mail today. Made my day.
Good luck to everyone.

p.s. It had been posted with 61 cents and does not indicate any postage was due, but I left 50 cents in the mailbox and a note this morning to be safe based on information from this forum. The note & change was gone. It is snowing and sleeting in Memphis, so maybe the postman took it as a tip. I am happy to tip for that.

Remember that there are several other leadership organizations at UA.

For instance, there’s a group called Leadership UA.

Next week, they will be meeting with Dr. Witt (UA President) in regards to the school’s Ten Year Strategic Plan. There are specific “markers” that the school is tracking (such as: # of NMFs, #of AA students graduating, etc.). One marker includes the participation of Leadership UA (see bottom of list of markers).
I also got a finalist letter today!! Yay! I was surprised because I thought my interview didn’t go that well…
I have a few questions. Maybe I’m making this up, but I thought I read somewhere that UA reimburses finalist for the flights. Does anyone know about this? And even when we get there, the airport is far from the school, so do we all get to the school separately by cab or renting a car or will there be a shuttle for finalists? And do we have to go with a parent?
I’m just a little confused because the letter doesn’t have much logistical info.

This is my first post, although I’ve been reading or “stalking” ths thread and the other UA threads for some time as our D is 95+% sure she will be attending UA in the fall.

She received her UFE Finalist invitaiton in the mail yesterday (no postage problems) and is very excited. My H plans to go with her for the weekend as he has not seen the campus yet. I might tag along.

I am very impressed with the students and parents on these UA boards and am excited that she will have such great peers!

I hope this person doesn’t mind me telling this. But one finalist told me that her envelope was beaten up because it obviously got stuck in the mail machines.

I think UFE better rethink using cutesy odd size envelopes that sound like they had a thickness to them, too.
