<p>Well, it’s almost 10:30 and I still haven’t heard a thing.
No call or emails (on either my email or crimson)…</p>
<p>I was on the conference call on my cell phone, so I would have heard the “line waiting” beep and they would have heard ringing (however, I wouldn’t have been able to switch over without dropping the whole conference call). But I would have at least seen the call and definitely seen the “missed call” indication after hanging up.
However, it’s been two and a half hours since the end time they told me, so I’m guessing that nothing’s coming.</p>
<p>Hopefully, Wellon will get my voicemail in the morning, and we’ll be able to remedy the situation. I’m sure it was just an honest mistake! I still have faith in Bama.</p>

<p>I feel for you juniper - and I’m sure it was just a mistake of some sort, but I know the feeling of waiting by the phone, having rehearsed possible answers in your head and all (not for this specifically, just in general). Your time has value and I’m sure they understand that - had to be a mixup.</p>

That was pretty much my exact situation- sitting around idly, not wanting to get too involved in this or that for fear of missing the call or being distracted while answering, checking the time constantly, wondering what’s going on and why the delay, imagining all the possible scenarios for why they haven’t called yet (everything ranging from natural disasters to power outages to they’re on the phone with someone really amazing and they don’t even want to hang up to talk with me), and having these really obscure questions and answers bouncing around in my head, just in case (philosophical quandaries and political debates alike).</p>

<p>So Wellon called me back during school today, left a voicemail apologizing for the inconvenience (she said that the people who were supposed to call me left a note saying they’d left me a message? But not even a missed call or email, so who knows what happened there), and she told me that they would call me today.
Anddd…they did, about half an hour after the beginning time she’d mentioned :)</p>
<p>I think it went pretty well–I don’t know if they were the same group who were supposed to talk to me yesterday because they didn’t mention anything about the mishap (and I didn’t mention it either). I feel like I may have talked too long and/or too fast (comes from years of policy debate), but I feel pretty at peace with the process now that it’s over and out of my hands.</p>
