I applied EA and got a letter today asking me to sign and waive all of my accumulated AP credits. However, it said I could still earn credit for them? It was a little confusing; can anyone clear that up for me? Also, does that have any indication for whether I’m accepted or not? Thanks.

Today, I got home, and my dad says “Ryan, there’s a college delivery for you, big envelope. I didn’t see where it was from.”

I was so excited.

Went in, grabbed it and tore it open without even looking at the return address. I find a large navy blue packet with a gold embossed dome on the front (ND colors and symbol). Across the packet was a banner that said, “You’re in!” I almost started crying. I open up the packet to see…

It was from Canisius College in Buffalo. Damn. So close!

ilovend which state are you from?
and did anyone else here get the same thing? (the ap waiver)

ryan, at least you got in to somewhere. sigh. i haven’t yet.

Big East - Guessing you’re from the east, you’ve heard of Canisius. If you’re looking for some sure things, Canisius and Drexel (a co-op school in Philly, it’s awesome!) are free to apply to on the Common App, plus they have no supplement. They both do Rolling Admission. I heard from Drex in 1 month, and Canisius in 3 weeks. They’re good backup schools to apply to, and they give good money. Best of luck.

ryan. thanks man. i’ll consider if and when i get rejected to my ea schools. but as for now, i’m good.

(i AM from the east. but it’s not what my username’s supposed to mean ;p)

somewhere out there, there’s a letter with your name on it. It’s cominggggggggggggg!

Good luck to all of you. This time last year my son was anxiously awaiting his EA decision. We live in Montana and his big envelope arrived on the Monday after they sent them out. Having just taken his last final of his first semester, he cannot believe how fast this semester has gone. It is alot of hard work being a student at Notre Dame, but the experience is like no other. He truly feels like he is home and where the Lord and Our Lady want him to be.

To all of you, in the next several days, may the University of Notre Dame say “Welcome Home!” .

Son got the same letter regarding college credit waiver

LOL. i thought of “somewhereeee oooover the rainboww…”

no letter yet???

I GOT IN!!!

So excited right now; I’ve wanted this for sooo long!

lame trolls

Siggy is a ■■■■■?

Obviously. This thread would be lighting up like a Christmas tree, if letters were being received.

Letters were received in South Bend today. I know several applicants who were accepted.

several…good one.

I’m in Green Bay, only 6 hour drive… it better arrive tomorrow!

Good luck, everyone! I remember how excited we were last year when my son got his letter (here in CA–sorry, don’t remember what day it was!). He’s coming home tomorrow after 4 months away and says ND is the best place on earth! I hope it works out for you all. The hard thing is that you’ll learn if you’re accepted or not now, but you won’t hear about financial aid until March with the RDs. That was tough for us, because we still had months wondering whether we’d be able to afford it. But, getting in is half the battle! Can’t wait to read all your happy posts.
