Notre Dame Class of 2021 EA Discussion

I’m nervous that I’ll get rejected because I am not religious. Does this play a large factor in the decision?

@k259864, I don’t think so. My D was not religious and she was admitted (with high stats) EA and she is now a sophomore there.

Alright thank you, I have a 34 ACT, alright ECs, 3.95UW and 10 APs so it’ll be close I think.

@Irishcali thank you for your input! You said that if I survive the REA round that I’d have a 50/50 shot in rd…Was this a generous guess or are you confident in that? I’m asking only because that seems a little high for a 30 ACT.

I have a 35 ACT and applied to school of Arts/Sciences. 4.9/4 weighted GPA, 3.7 unweighted, National Merit Scholar Semifinalist, 6 AP’s. Lots of service/leadership positions and extracurriculars and a 3 generation legacy at ND (including both parents)…do I have a shot at getting in?? I’m so nervous.

@ginger3598 I cannot imagine you won’t get in…good luck! Notre Dame is such a special place! My daughter does not have legacy and already feels a bond there (she has visited multiple times), so I imagine you really feel a strong connection!

thanks @collegemomjam! making me feel a lot better  Yes I love ND!

It is treacherous waiting for the portal login info 0.o

anyone have any better idea of when we’ll find out except “mid December”?

Nothing has been posted but I’m guessing it will be by Friday the 16th.

@ginger3598 The one thing that might hold you back is your UW GPA, which is somewhat low, especially for REA. On the margin, I wouldn’t expect a denial, but a deferral is a possibility. (Fwiw I have two daughters who were deferred then accepted and are currently attending.)

As far as a notification date, probably some time between the 14th and 16th, but that’s just a guess. Finals are over on the 16th, and I can’t really see them releasing after that.

Hey guys, I think I can get in but IDK. My scores are sooooooo good, 35 ACT, I’m on academic team A team and Head of buzzers for my science bowl team. I’m ranked second in my class (IDK how), and am certainly not a dummy. The only reason I don’t think they’ll accept me is cuz I’m Easily flustered. I’m not sure if it came through in my essays, but I’m nervous my admissions rep will figure out how easily flustered i actually am and reject me for that reason that I’m flustered. ND is my dream school; my brother goes there, and he keeps saying he doesn’t know how he got in so I’m soooooooo nervous I won’t. Can anyone help me figure out if this will get me rejected? Thanks, everyone.

Warmest Regards,
Wieran Kurl

@Wieran_Kurl69 I think as long as you are not a dummy and they don’t realize that you are easily flustered, you’ll have a chance. 35 is a good score, but your post seemed a bit weird. Are you being serious. Glad I could help.

@Wieran_Kurl69 this is definitely a tr0ll post

Daughter got the instructions email from Notre Dame.

Had her log in to a portal and create a new password. Said she will hear in mid December when decisions have been released and to check this portal at that time. Anyone else get this yet? I’m assuming she will hear for sure next Wednedsay-ish.

@collegemomjam I got one too. Almost had a heart attack because I only read the part of the title that said “Notre Dame Decisions Released”. I’m guessing they’ll be released around next Wednesday to Friday. Not sure though.

@collegemomjam Got one here too. The waiting is killing me.

Why is this thread so quiet???

Hey guys, so I have a 33 on the ACT with multiple clubs and I am a top tennis player in Virginia. I had an internship at Jefferson Lab in Newport News this past summer. I play guitar and for a research project for an honors diploma at my high school I am building a guitar made from an invasive, sustainable wood. I am not Catholic but church is a big part of my life (my church is non-denominational). Do you guys think I have a chance at getting in?
