Brown (English/History)
Cornell (English)

Honesty, and sorry to be harsh, I don’t think you will get into any of the schools you listed except for UIUC, which you will probably get into. It is kind of a long shot for the others.

In at UIUC and Notre Dame. Rejected everywhere else. I just don’t see anything special about you =/ Sorry it’s gonna be a really tough admissions year.

Oh crap, I forgot to include my composite for the ACT. I got a 30 all four times I took it. But that probably doesn’t change much, does it?

Thanks for your honesty though. I didn’t really have my heart set for the Ivy Leagues, but I was curious. How sure are we for Notre Dame? I sort of like the prestige with UIUC, but I would much, much rather go to ND.

I’m also Asian American. I know that might actually hurt me nowadays, but is there a special case with ND?

“Looking back on your earlier posts, your final destination is engineering? not english? That’s a big jump.”

I’m not sure right now… I’m torn between what I like and what will secure me a job. But yeah, I realize engineering is a completely different ballpark than liberal arts.

well i hope you applied to other places because those are all reaches for you, but i think you can get into Illinois and MAYBE Notre Dame, still, these schools have unpredictable acceptance policies and stats, so keep your hopes up

great shot at illinois… other than that everything else is a reach… including notre dame which has become really competitive… i would say that that is a low reach

everything else you are going to need something special in your application…
