Current ND first-year here.
Re-iterating what’s already been said, decisions were mailed last year and I received mine in California on Saturday, December 13 (dated December 10).
My guess is that decisions will be later this year because the applicant pool is increasingly more competitive, with more qualified and a higher number of applicants, so the decisions are even tougher. I understand it’s frustrating not to have a firm date, but they definitely don’t want to commit to something and then let you guys down.
I wasn’t seriously considering ND (I’m liberal and not Catholic) but after visiting, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. If you get accepted, even if you also get into schools that are higher on your list, I highly encourage you to at least visit and get to know the people here. ND truly is an amazing place and I’m so grateful that I ended up here.

@maddan9497 sure, we basically got a big envelope saying “Welcome Home” and it was mostly a bunch of admissions statistics and a map and some basic facts about campus. Your letter is just a basic admissions latter congratulating you and all first year students are placed into the First Year of Studies so there’s not really a mention of specific colleges you got into unless you were pre-approved for the Mendoza School of Business.
@TXDad56 I do remember some tweets about how they were coming soon and then a later tweet that they were in the mail. However, the mail in my region ended up getting really late so I actually learned of my decision over email before my admissions packet came in
Looks like they’re not coming out tonight =(( It’s gut-wrenching to know that they’ve most likely decided everything already; I can’t think about it. Come on, at least give us a day so we’re not going mad refreshing our portal!
I called them earlier this week and the lady said that decisions will be out the week of the 14th.

The thought from earlier in this thread was that they would likely be released on a Friday but tomorrow would be great!
New to the thread- good luck to all. I think I may hear from Georgetown and Notre Dame (tied for my first choice) both tomorrow and if I get denied or deferred from both I don’t know what I’m gonna do

ND Admissions was tweeting this weekend so hopefully that means they were working over the weekend! My prediction is that they release decisions tomorrow (Monday) afternoon (which prediction admittedly is based on very little substance).
@yorkie97 same here! Been checking in on both of these threads constantly. Really hoping ND doesn’t wait till Tuesday because otherwise I need to get going on 10,000,000 other college apps
I feel like they definitely have finished reviewing the apps… Is this true?? If so, why would they wait longer to release them?
