Another lurker parent here… SuzysMom, I too have followed your comments the last week or two and wish the best for your daughter. It is clear it will mean the world to you!

Good luck to DomerMom too and all the other lurking parents and EA applicants!

Yes, I’ve followed jschank for a while now – seems like a very nice man. I’ve been impressed with everyone we’ve met who’s affiliated with the school!

Good luck to you Parnassus700 and to your (son/daughter?)!! I hope we all hear good news soon!

Welcome Parnassus700! I suspect there are a number of parents lurking out there. Thanks for sharing jschank’s tweet. It was indeed classy. Been on both sides of the decision - oldest son admitted, second denied, awaiting word on the third. I can tell you that my experience with the University at ALL times over the years has been nothing less than first rate. Jschank’s sentiments exemplify the care ND shows for all applicants.

It’s ok! I was kind of thinking the only way we’d get something today is if it was a little envelope that was able to make it’s way quickly through the postal service, lol I’m just glad the end is in sight. If she’s happy, that’s all that matters to me – as I’m sure all of us poster/lurker parents can agree on :)

Amen to that! Happy is what really matters.

I’m waiting to see when the kids get home from school and start posting. Surely some (especially in Indiana) have to be receiving news today. I’d love to hear that the letters are out there and kids are getting word.

I agree. I think it will make it more “real” when we start seeing some activity and stats. My d will jump in here when she knows something. For now she’s too nervous to join in the “fun.” LOL ;)

As I suspected/feared, there was nothing in the mail today. Guess the Chicago area will have to wait until tomorrow. SuzysMom, I’m following your positive thinking - the big envelope takes longer. Good luck everyone! I’ll be checking in tomorrow to see the good news!

How odd…it would appear that no one got anything today. Makes me think that around the area will get there tomorrow and we may not see anything until Saturday or even Monday :’( I may not make it, my friends.

Perhaps it is too close to Christmas. Given the large volume of mail in the system right now, it would not be out of the question for letters to get held up. This is certainly uncharted territory for the timing of letters!
