Notre Dame EA decision announcement date

@gus1996 @cgmetcal I have not received my letter either and I live in North Carolina. Did either of you receive a confirmation email after applying? After submitting my application, it said I should receive one, but I never did and I’m starting to get a little worried they never received my application.

This is for my daughter. It is a bit confusing. They said they received the common app (acc to their email of Nov 8) and would be presenting it soon for review by the admissions committee. Said if they needed anything else, they would let my daughter know.

Last year they sent 2 notices saying they received the common app, and then another one saying the application is complete.

Did those who received their decision get a separate email saying the application was complete?

I am a dad with a son who applied EA. He received the same email you (cgmetcal) describe - my son received that email on 11/7. He did not get an additional email - just the one confirming receipt of his common app. If I recall correctly, I did call before he received that email b/c I was worried when he didn’t get a confirmation email initially within a day or two of having applied. The admissions office confirmed his application was received and said we would get a confirmation email, which we did a few days later.

We are in South Florida, today’s mail has been delivered, and we still have not received the accepted/deferred/rejected letter.

Ack! Suspense is killing us!

Do you know if the commonapp site itself sent that first confirmation (or did ND contact your daughter/did you contact ND first??)? According the the commonapp, mine was successfully submitted (including the application fee), I just never got any word from ND itself. Thanks for responding! Good luck to your daughter–hope to see her there next year!!

South FL - nothing :(

@enl3796 My daughter received notice from common app that both the common app and the ND supplements were successfully sent. Then the note from ND that they received common app and would be sending it shortly for review and if they needed anything else, they would notify her.

@MarkBR I hear you…would have been nice to have some sort of decision before Christmas…and since other apps are due Jan 2 before ND’s admissions opens, ugh!

Good luck to all…

I got rejected. Are there admission appeals for ND?

Nothing in Ohio today. I’m fairly certain the pony express was more efficient.

nothing in Ohio? geez ND is so close to there…
I got my acceptance in North Texas today!!

Acceptance here in Connecticut! DD hasn’t been able to stop smiling since the mail came  I don’t think what’s under the tree is going to compare to this Christmas present lol! Good luck to everyone still waiting on word, and congratulations to all of ND2018! Special note to SuzysMom: thanks for all the updates and your kind words to all the kids and parents on here (yes, I’ve been lurking since my DD applied lol)

120+ hours since mailing and we’re 3 hours down the pike from South Bend…very frustrating.

hi guys, first post! I live in south Florida and still have not received my letter. But HerCampus Notre Dame started following me on twitter. I’m not sure what to think about that. Did this happen to anyone else? If so, did you get accepted/rejected/deferred? The suspense is killing me!!

@Ashley4 the same account followed me and I was rejected. I’m not sure what it means and I am also from south Florida

Ashley4 don’t give up hope that account just followed me and I got my acceptance today!

My DD didn’t get the initial email confirming ND had received her app. We were nervous as she hadn’t heard anything so she finally emailed her admissions rep who replied saying they had sent her an email on 11/7 with the same verbiage that everybody else got. DD had checked her SPAM account, deleted files, trash files, etc., but never did see that email. None-the-less she did get admitted, so everything had been received.

I sure wish they had an on-line system where you could verify that they had received everything and to get the decision immediately and not have to wait for the delayed Christmas mail.

Missourian here. No letter yet received. What do you think of this…I got a “small envelope” in today’s mail. Sadly opened it…it was a Christmas Card from Notre Dame Undergraduate Admissions. Mailed 12/20. 2 days AFTER the decision letters were mailed! Where is my decision letter?

Kerri, I received my acceptance letter today along with the separate little Christmas card. It wouldn’t really make much sense for them to send Christmas cards to rejected students, would it? Hang in there. I still have a Florida friend who is still without a letter too.

@ashley4 They just followed me on twitter today, and I was accepted on Friday. Also, I’m pretty sure that Christmas cards are only sent to admitted students.

Does being followed by that account mean anything? Has anyone who was rejected been followed by that account?

Accepted!!! Six days to get here but well worth reading “Welcome Home”!!!
