Notre Dame Fall 2014 Transfer Thread

@fncrane‌

Stats:
High School GPA: 3.53
college GPA: 3.95 over two semesters
SAT: 2350

@tysonisasaint‌ when did you submit your spring grades? I’m not sure how true it is that ND is sending notices on a rolling basis. I submitted mine on May 13

May 26th I submitted an unofficial transcript via email.

@goirishhh what are your stats?

@Tysonisasaint Just out of curiosity, if you had already committed to Vanderbilt prior to sending in your final grades to Notre Dame, why didn’t you just withdraw your application? There is no waiting list for transfers.

High school GPA: 4.2
College GPA after 2 semesters: 3.69
ACT: 31

Okay I am also going to call tomorrow because ND is my top choice and I am trying to hold out and wait for as long as possible for my decision but I am also approaching the deadline for another university. Do you think this is a good idea, if I call?

The person that I know who called said they were very understanding.

Okay I hope they have my decision already because I will be calling tomorrow first thing. Ugh so anxious! Good luck to everybody still waiting, especially since I know a lot of us are counting on this.

Good luck to you, let us know how it goes!

I’m really worried about being able to register for summer school if I’m admitted, and I won’t even know if I am until the end of the month. Should I call them and ask about this?

Okay, I’m confused. So someone called admissions yesterday and they said they hadn’t sent any decisions yet, but apparently people have gotten acceptance letters already? Why would the admissions department not be truthful?

@Tfer14‌ I don’t know why they told someone they haven’t mailed decisions yet but it’s clear that they have already started. It’s also clear that they are not doing it in a “rolling” style because I submitted my final grades 2 weeks before someone who has already received their decision and I’ve heard nothing.

Guys I called ND and sadly they have no decision for me yet even though I sent in my transcript on May 12. They told me that my transcript was only processed on May 28 however, and that the date you turn in your transcripts doesn’t really matter, what matters is when they process it and add it to your file. Also, I talked to the same rep from yesterday and she apologized because she meant the decisions that are next in line to be sent out yet have not been mailed out yet.

Well at least no news is good news then! That gives the rest of us a little clarity too.

@tysonisasaint I hope you let ND admissions know ASAP that you won’t be attending so that they can release your spot to someone else before they end up rejecting someone.

Thanks for the update @rdlp123! Now I’m a little less wary about having to send my transcripts so late. Did you guys just email an unofficial copy or did you have an official one sent as well?

I got an email which said “…please submit an unofficial grade report to transfer@nd.edu (SUBJECT LINE: Final Grades_Your Full Name) and follow up with your official college transcript.” So both!

I also sent both

Hey guys, I just got my acceptance in Southern California. The letter’s dated June 2nd so it got here pretty fast.
My stats:
HS GPA: 3.5UW/4.2W
College GPA: 3.6 (on a 4.33 scale)
SAT: 2200
ACT: 33
I have to give an answer by June 23rd which doesn’t give me a lot of time to decide, but it’s probably since I got the letter a bit earlier.
I wish you guys the best! :slight_smile: I’m ecstatic, just wish I had gotten this a year earlier…
