Yesterday I called and asked if they had sent letters yet, they said nope, opened my mailbox 30 seconds later and there was the big envelope. Getting in felt great

@ioioioio what are your stats?

Has anyone heard of any rejections being sent?

Accepted. Does anyone know where to find our financial aid awards?

@juvenis didn’t you turn in your common app after the deadline? I wonder how ND justifies sending out your decision before people who turned in their common app on time

Congrats Juvenis! I have an idea of how this might work: maybe admissions is sending out acceptances to their top picks first. Then in the next waves of letters they’ll try to fill up the remaining spots with other good candidates, and then eventually they’ll reject the rest. Perhaps it doesn’t matter when you submit your stuff, but instead how much the school wants you. That could explain why no one has been rejected yet.

Or it could also be they’re just releasing acceptances to those who need to take summer courses! Because my acceptance is contingent upon the completion of some classes.

Same with a lot of people on this thread, including me. But most of us haven’t gotten back any kind of response. Hopefully that doesn’t mean something bad…

It’s interesting that ND has a response date of June 23. That allows them a week to see how many people don’t accept the offer and still offer it to someone else before July 1.

Has everyone that’s been accepted so far had a reply date of June 23? I’m dying to know how many people applied this year.

Also how many of you lucky accepted people plan on attending Notre Dame next fall? I’m sure some of you have other schools you’ve probably heard back from already too.

@goirishhh yeah but just barely past it.

@Tfer14 Thanks a lot! But unless they can top my committed school’s FA offer, I won’t be accepting it.

@calistudent1122 I don’t have to take summer courses and I got my mail 2 days ago, so I’m not sure if it’s exclusively for those who need to take summer courses.

@juvenis what date do you have to commit to ND by?

Also I have a couple of friends at ND whose financial aid was pretty much in line with their demonstrated need after their EFC. Their parents were required to meet the EFC and the rest was covered by a combination of federal loans and notre dame grants. So my one friends family had an EFC of 35k that they had to kick in, he had to take out about 7k in federal loans and notre dame covered the rest

Do you think it is safe to assume at this point, if we have not received any notice we have been rejected? I hate to be a pessimist, but at some point it seems important to move on.

Would be very helpful to know if anyone has received a rejection yet

That’s up to you to move on but admissions told me that they have sent out both acceptances and rejections and they’ve only sent out the first group of decisions. They will continue to review applications and send out decisions throughout the month.

So would people who have gotten rejections receive the letters around the same days people got the acceptances? I’m really hoping I made it past the first round without a rejection!!

Yeah they said acceptances and rejections were sent at the same time.

Admissions assured me they would let me know my decision before June 10 so that there wont be a timing conflict with my other college.

Man that’s scary that there’s a deadline for you now. I’m sure it’s going to be an extra long few days for you until the 10th! Hopefully it works out.
