@goirishhh I have had a specific counselor, this was something I was confused about but he said that he was my counselor. And yes I had a 3.92 for both semesters, thanks for your encouragement.

@pfricano3 How did you initially get your counselors name? I’ve never been given a name

@goirishhh I asked both the counselor from my region and the transfer admissions counselor who my admissions counselor was, and the transfer admissions counselor never responded while the region counselor told me he was my counselor. I didn’t really understand what the transfer admissions counselor did then but that’s what I was told.

Just received a call about twenty minutes ago notifying me of my acceptance. She said more will come out through the mail next week!

@unlimited8 if you don’t mind saying, what are your stats?

Sure, I just finished up my first year at UC Berkeley. I applied to the college of arts and letters.
College GPA: 3.73 (average of both semesters)
HS GPA: 3.7 UW, 4.2 W
SAT: 2180
As for extracurriculars, just a bunch of music things and work experience.

Congrats! It’s unusual that they called you. Did they call because you need to take some classes? What part of the country are you from?

Ahhhh a fellow UC student!!! Congrats!!!

She didn’t mention summer classes, and I’ve already started classes. I’m guessing it has to do with a merit scholarship I’m being considered for, since decisions for this come out weeks after the admissions decision, but the deadline to reply is the end of the month. I’m from Northern California.

Thanks @fncrane! Best of luck to you!

A merit scholarship from notre dame?

Yes, sorry, I was unclear!

That’s awesome! They say on their transfer website that transfers are not eligible for merit scholarship so I wonder how that works?

Here’s an update I just called admissions. So the lady who prints the letters for acceptances and rejections is sick and won’t be coming back for a while so they didn’t want to wait to notify some of us. 12 people were called today

What about the merit scholarship though? Also, I called admissions just now to see if they had an estimate on when I’d hear my decision. She said any time between now and July 15th. Unless she mixed up June and July, that means maybe another month of this awful anxiety and waiting. Nooooooo.

I was told by July 15 too

July 15?!? What happened to the June 1 - July 1 window?!?!?

I have no idea!! They’re taking their sweet time this year it seems.

I thought the same thing. They told me last week my app was complete and being read. They also said they got just over 500 applications this year so not sure what’s taking so long. They’ve had more in other years.

This is insane! It would be super unfair for them to admit someone in July and then say “oh by the way you still need to take summer school classes.”
