Notre Dame Leadership Seminar 2016!!

Diversity/firstgen is a huge factor in this; legacy helps too.

I got a physical letter of acceptance in the mail, but I didn’t get a link. Were you guys emailed a link?

@turquoiseworld if you log into the portal and scroll down you’ll see “confirmation form”

@jess1911 the link to the Facebook page was posted in earlier comments.

@jess1911 thanks!

After requesting, just message any of the admins of the Seminar you are selected for. :slight_smile:

Rejected 33 ACT, 4.0/4.0 UW GPA, all Honors and AP classes, two sport varsity athlete, lead my competitive mock trial team to state this year, started my own charity, student government, part of a nationally renowned choir, essays were great and very heartfelt, teachers recommendations were amazing,

I think what really hurt me was that I am a white Catholic female legacy from a parochial school and high income family, hopefully next year during admissions diversity won’t be such a deciding factor. This program was really a recruiting tactic and my application made it pretty clear ND was my first choice for next year. Congrats to everyone who made it, have the time of your lives!

If you got in, remember to hashtag or something on Twitter so we can find you! And also remember to join the Facebook group:)))))

@Mjp621 I’m also in Science, Ethics, and Responsibility!

But honestly, when it comes down to it, an acceptance or rejection is not a measurement of a person’s passion or success. It’s so hard to truly learn about a person through a single form, and it could have been due to a need for diversity, whether it be race, location, or interests, and it’s really just a roll of the dice. For me, I think my essays and rec were really strong and reflected my passion for global issues, however, every single one of you are just as (if not more) qualified to have been selected. Please remember that!

Congrats to everyone who got in!

I’m going to request everything attached with my admission, per FERPA they have 45 days to give me all the information written or critiqued about me. Once I get it, I will post. Have fun to those who are going!

@nitro11, FERPA doesn’t apply in this situation. It only applies to students who are admitted to the college and have enrolled in class.

Incorrect. I think you will find Duke had your thoughts and lost that battle. I guess only time will tell. :)>-
